As from MDG7 we have an ability to maintain parallel processing of CR with CHANGE business activity (making changes on existing objects) according to entity type.
I wonder if there is an ability to maintain parallel editing within one change request while CREATING process?
The governance process is:
initiator - experts - supervisor - activation.
The experts step can contain more than one man/role. Each expert have to fill specific attributes (e.g. purchasing attributes - purchasing expert, accounting attributes - financial expert and so on). With BRF+ i can make this tasks parallel using and after that merge the result with BADI.
The problem is that if one expert making changes, other experts dont have an access to CR because of system blocking.
Can we somehow make this kind of editing really parallel, move blocking to entity type level for example?

Hi, We are trying to perform initial upload of FICO Object -Profit Center through MDGMDX. During Import function, we are getting the error message: Enter a value for attribute Person Responsible The data to be imported does have values maintained against person responsible. When I check the Attributes against the Entity Type PCTR, I noticed that the attribute for person responsible is PCTRRESPP with data element as USMDZ1_RESP_PERSON. While the data which is extracted from ECC through MDGMDX (HTML file) has the person responsible against field name VERAK. Can anyone please let me know what would be the issue? System does not throw this error during Simulate Import but only during actual import. Regards, NB

The property is derived from the data element so it is not possible to change it.

Please check if these fields are getting updated in ECC through some diff process than MDG during CR creation and CR activation time-frame. You may need to check batch jobs / inbound interfaces which are also updating your master data.

To get a model instance use the following class

ET_MESSAGE = LT_MESSAGE.
You are using the right class , first determine the header details using READ_DOCUMENT_HEADER and then use read_document_lines

Hi,
We have developed a custom object in MDG. We created a custom UI configuration using the WD component USMD_OVP_GEN. We are able to create a new master data object with the cutom UI configuration. After creation and activation while searching for the object it appears in the search result as well. But when I click on a single master data object in the result list, it opens the custom UI but without any data into it. It opens an empty UI. Please help what could be the issue as it looks like some navigation issue.

However the entity for the change request UIBB does not get called in the Derivation BADI.
How do you derive something in the change request UIBB?
I have done this an added an enhancement to the bottom of the OVERRIDE_EVENT_OVP method in the APPCC class.

We are using SAP MDG 7.02 and have MDG Customer and Supplier Create/Change processes in production. Our business would like to start sending Excel or PDF documents to new customers for collecting basic master data directly from the customer. A CSR at our company would most likely receive the document back and add a few missing details. Rather than then have a user manually key the data into an MDG change request, we are looking for an automated process for mapping the document into a draft CR.
I have seen an SCN post on going from CRM->PI->MDG, but we are not using CRM. The thought of a FlatFile->PI->MDG scenario is possible I guess.
I am posting to see if anyone is doing anything similar or has heard of SAP or 3rd party products in this area?
