This is Arup and I have moved into MDG recently . Few days back I got an issue in NWBC transaction while searching materials . This was working properly before .
Below is the screenshot . Please guide me to solve this issue . To my knowledge the system is in REUSE mode .

Does any one have experience of replicating MDG-F FRS ( Financial reporting structure ) Hierarchy . In the Installation guide I see sap is explaining with SOA Manager business scenario configuration .
But our landscape has some problems with business scenario configuration so we want to make a simple configuration like implementing consumer proxy and creating logical port in MDG system and linking with end point in the target system .
I would like to know if any one has experience on this kind of approach for FRS .

is there a difference between supplier and vendor ui. Although I activated supplier, I realize I do not want a business partner. is there a disadvantage of using only vendor UI, would it be cleaner? I have both internal(Employee) and external vendors

Business partner is something you will have to create. It does not matter which UI you use.
Dear All,
The property "Convert to uppercase" for a Data object - element (Example - AD_NAME_O - AD_NAME1) is in display mode when I go in EDit mode/expert mode. Please let me know if it can be edited. Its a standard data element, but using this property we are not changing the actual data element.

I have included the side panel in SAP MDG, and only show me the standard fields, but I wants to see the new fields (Z-fields) in this panel side.
Please suggest how can I see the new fields.. any configuration, or if I need any an active object in MDG?

The error you are facing is due to the missing connectors while TREX is configured, the connectors get deleted if the system is upgraded or refreshed.
Pls. find the details steps in order to configure TREX.
1. Go to T-Code: ESH_COCKPIT
2. To create a connector-
Creation of a connector is required for the first time, after any client copy or either any system refresh activity is performed.
2.1. First make sure that the status under the Search Object Connectors is set to NEW(0).
NEW(0) -> No connector is available.
2.2. Click on create to create a new connector , a pop up window will be displayed.
Provide the software component: MDG TREX configuration and click on 'Partner template for MDG'.
Click on find and provide the search term: Business Partner template for MDG .
ex: MDG_BUSINESS_PARTNER
Now click on Create Connector to create the connector, and now the connector is prepared and the status is now updated to All(1), NEW(1).
2.3. Now click on Actions and select 'Schedule Indexing' and then check the check boxes for both the entries under Real time-Indexing and Start Immediately and click on OK.
Now. the status of the connector will be set to Indexing.
2.4.Click on System settings-> Control Real Time Indexing -> click on Start., before performing this you need to select the logical system. and then click on START.
Now click on ok. Background processing for real time indexing is started, and the current status of the connector will be set to Indexing
3. Real time indexing will be active after the background job is finished and then the status will be set to ACTIVE for the connector, and your issue will be fixed.

Is it possible to make particular segment using BRF+ required/mandatory, like in Vendor UI we have Company code and purchase org so
now we have to make entire company code segment as required.
Reason for this requirement is that user should not submit CR without Company code.

Is it hub deployment or co-deployment?
You need to configure CVI settings and convert all existing vendor/ customes to BP .
You will need CVI Synchronization Cockpit to convert them to BP.

In my case, I managed to solve the issue with the help of an OSS.
Solution:
Manual reactivation of all BC sets:
- Transaction: SFW_BROWSER
- Expand the corresponding Business function
- Switch BC set. Then double click on the BC set
- activate the BC set also choose Ignore previous activation check box.
Following is an example:
Do this for all necessary business Functions:
Afterwards, activate the BP Data Model again and the structures should be generated, at least in my case - hope this helps!

I am trying to implement the mass change functionality of MDG for BP in an MDG dev. system.
I followed the complete how to guide: Configuring Master Data Governance for Business Partner - SAP Library and the standard functionality of creating, editing displaying etc. is working just fine.
When creating a mass change request for BP, the mass change shows up in the "my change request section" and the concerning Business Partners in the "Business Partner Processing Section" are marked as "In Progress".
When trying to access the created Mass Change request , an info message shows up saying " You are currently not the processor o change request xxx".
When I now go into the workflow log, following error message appears in the Step history of the "Get Agent Filter":
Did I miss any configuration part in this context? All necessary roles and authorizations are assigned to my user.
I am pretty new to this topic and can offer further details in form of screenshots if needed.

will the cockpit load the master data after configuration or how it works?

Synchronization Cockpit - MDS_LOAD_COCKPIT is the transaction.
But for this to work all pre-requisite of configuration must be met.
Please check transaction MDG_BS_SUPPL_HARM.

We can see no text for DB search method (but DB search works) :
We successfully added the Hana UIBB. But no way to revert to DB search after HANA is selected :
How can we make the DB text appear in the menu ?
