USMD_RULE: Dump if BP data model is selected

Dear All,

 

We are facing the below mentioned error message when we open BRFplus validation and assignment application -> select Data model BP. Then a popup window (Assign request) appears for assigning a Transport request. When we provide a TR number and click on OK then the error message is appeared. We are on 6.1 sp05 version.

 

500 SAP Internal Server Error

ERROR: A BRFplus exception for invalid input occurred (termination: RABAX_STATE)

 

The issue is occurring for BP data model only and not for MM. The issue is happening only in one client of our system and in other clients application opens correctly for both BP and MM.

 

If you have faced similar issue then please suggest how to resolve this error.

MDG-F FRS Entity with custom account in Hierarchy

Hi ,

 

Our requirement is to implement FRS ( Finanacial reporting structure ) in MDG-F 0G model . But we dont want to use ACCOUNT from MDG F .Instead of ACCOUNT we want to use other CUSTOM TYPE 1 Entity say ZACCOUNT . Our Main problem is if we delete ACCOUNT from Hierarchy and add out ZACCOUNT then during upgrade will the change we do will be overwritten ? and data in generated tables also get effected during upgrade ?

 

In this kind of case how should we proceed . We want exactly FRS but ACCOUNT  should be new one .

Starting up with Master Data Governance (MDG)

Let say that I have a SAP ECC system with Master Data Governance(MDG) for governance and I now need to do some data migration (say we bought another company and need to migrate all of their customers and materials).

The current release SAP MDG 8.0 is a perfect fit in such situation, because consolidation of master data from heterogenoeus landscapes or M&A into a central hub is a supported use case with this release. See more at SAP Master Data Governance, Consolidation | SCN

Dear Sanjay Shah,

 

The authorization object USMD DM Data Model was assigned with the proper values - same for the authorization activity.

 

All necessary Business Functions have been activated accordingly without any Errors or Warnings. In SFW5, the Activation shows up as completed aswell.

The manual triggering of the Structures did not help either.

 

Furthermore, the Data Model for MM was created without any problems and with all necessary Structures and mappings.

 

Maybe any other ideas?

I had this same disappearing values issue in MDG-M and finally solved by running transaction USMD_RULE and making sure I specified a transport for BRF+ changes.  Otherwise, it seems that the structures actually do not get regenerated.  Same with program USMD_ADAPT_BRF - if no transport is open for BRF changes, the program does not seem to work.

I had this same problem with disappearing field values in flex fields I had added to my existing flex field UIBB.  As others have stated, SMT mapping is not applicable to flex fields.

 

I tried running both USMD_ADAPT_BRF and USMD_ADJUST STAGING with no results.  I finally resolved by running BRF+ transaction USMD_RULE and making sure I specified a transport for BRF changes rather than choosing Local object.  It then clocked for a while as it was obviously regenerating the structures.  Therefore, it seems that unless you have an open transport, running program USMD_ADAPT_BRF (or simply opening USMD_RULE) may not actually regenerate and save.

Issue is resolved by changing the number range assignment...I have added the grouping and Number range assignment and now can see all required account group in drop down.

Hi Sanjay,

 

if you mean the "Generate Model Specific Structures" node in IMG, then yes, it shows up in there - I'm not aware of a node which is called "Regenerate [...] Structures".

 

However, if I use the proper Package and click on "Generate Structures", an Info-Message pops up saying "Data model BP: Definitions of generated structures are consistent" but the Structures remain empty.

Web Dynpro Services are not available in SICF for BI Content activation...

Experts,

 

     I am trying to activate BI content in MDG system and for that I am following the standard doc provided by SAP but it seems in step 2 of that doc i.e, activation of Webdynpro services not available in my system under SICF transaction.

 

 

Activate the following Web Dynpro Services:

default_host > sap > bc > bsp > sap > esh_sap_link

default_host > sap > bc > webdynpro > sap > ESH_ADMIN_UI_COMPONENT

default_host > sap > bc > webdynpro > sap > esh_eng_modelling

Error in configuration of SAP logon tickets

Upon trying to execute NWBC from SAP MDG IMG I got the following error.

 

"Error in configuration of SAP logon tickets"

Validation log not triggered for ZMAT0A MDG-M

Hi Experts,

 

When activating the mass changes in MDG-M using change request ZMAT0A the validation log cannot be triggered.

 

We click "run validation" and get the message "validation started succesfully"

 

When clicking activate we get the below error.

 

What can we do?

Hi  kathrine ,

Just click on Material and after that click select one material and click on single processing and then close ...

Then Click on run Validation wait some time after that you click validation log if all green you can activate CR ..

Validation for Required Field not Triggered until Data is Changed

In MDG-M, I have UIBBs containing required fields.  Some of the required field checks are performed by the Reuse area field control, and others are performed by my custom BRF+ Check rules.

 

 

 

PROBLEM: In a couple situations, the UIBB validation for the mandatory fields are not getting triggered unless other data within the same UIBB is first changed or new values are entered.

 

 

For example, in the standard Plant:Purchasing UIBB, the Purchasing Group is a required field. The field is marked as required in SPRO field control.  The validation message is displayed only if I first change some other field in the UIBB, such as checking the "Post to Insp. Stock" checkbox or entering the "Tax Indicator".

 

 

 

I also added a required field check in BRF+ for Purchasing Group as well, just to see how that would behave.  It has the same problem - it only is triggered after changing some data in the Plant:Purchasing UIBB and then re-clicking the Check button.

 

 

 

Here is a screenshot showing that the messages do not get displayed when I first click Check:

But after I change some data in the UIBB and click Check again, both of the validations get fired:

Any suggestions on how to get the validations to properly fire without requiring the user the change data in the UIBB would be greatly appreciated.
