Re: Auto Approval and Activation of Change Requests in MDG

Yes, RBWF is the first thing one could think of. But for this one special case, how would you direct the RBWF to straight-away to go Activation step ?

For any Update Customer CR, I have set up 3 level of approvals. It gets activated at the 3rd level.

Now for this case, when only 'street or house number' is updated then directly execute WF from Activation step. How can this be achieved ? can you please suggest something ?

Hi Swati

This is also possible using BADI. I am not sure about BADI name so if you want second RBWF for selected fields you can define another RBWF.

For a new RBWF i need to create new CR Type. Is it ?

But for the existing CR Type of Update Customer, I will not be able to achieve this ?

MDG-M Material Description Checks

$

I am trying to write a check in the 'Define Validaitons/Derivations' BADI in method 'IF_EX_USMD_RULE_SERVICE~CHECK_ENTITY' to check the length of the derived material description.

the material description is being derived in the cross entity badi because the various elements o fthe description are being pulled from multiple entities (namely MATERIAL and MVKESALES). However I am expecting to be able to check the material description in the normal CHECK_ENTITY method and BADI.

My code is never called because the MATERIAL entity where TXTMI (material description) is stored is never looped through. The method loops through each changed entity starting with MATERIAL, MARCBASIC, MVKESALES etc etc etc. but it never goes into the MATERIAL description entity. It should loop through the MATERIAL entity twice, once for all the MARA fields and once for the descriptions table, but it'n not?!?!?!??!?!?!

Any ideas on how to solve the issue?

Hi Swati,

We have created Tax Categories with Tax type for Peru country in table TFKTAXNUMTYPE but Tax type is not flowing from BP to Vendor. It works fine for Argentian Tax categories.

Do we need to config anything else or change FM BUPA_TAX_NUMBER_CHECK?

Hi Michael,

thank you very much, the problem was that in the tasks that Sanjay wrote me to do, there was a personalization reset at only one or two places. However, now I know that I have to click on Personalize-->Reset to Default on EACH and EVERY screen, not just on the initial one, or when the guide tells me to do.

Thank you for it, it was a great help!!

It seems that this instruction not only deletes an existing personalization, but also makes some rendering according to the latest configuration since, after the configuration, the UI is not getting adjusted only by this 'reset to default' setting.

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Thank you very much,

Tamas

Hi,

Did you find an answer to this ?

Hi Swati,

Yes, we need to create a new CR type for update customer in MDG by copying the standard one.

Also, to read the UI related field data like House number or street , we need to use the BADI:Rule Context preparation for RBWF and write the code for reading  the data from the UI using it.

And for the direct activation, in the Single Value Decision table, you can put the step number 91 directly against the CR previous step 00 in the same row and complete the workflow.

I think by doing this you can achieve your requirement.

Satyam

Hi,

For Other Fields, you have to use File Upload / Download Functionality.

Hi Subhronath

Did you try by doing enhancement of new field in DM and doing SMT and enhacenmented same in UI also? It must appears in mass change CR also

Hi Swati/Sanjay,

No to be honest. As a work around we created a custom role for mass change via PFCG and included the XK99 transaction within it. So whenever the user with the appropriate role opens the NWBC UI they will see the Mass maintenance of Supplier icon beside the Supplier Governance. On clicking it will just redirect to the ECC screens embedded where you execute the xk99 and get access to change all fields/attributes in the MDG level ECC. Once the changes are made in MDG then the same set of suppliers need to selected and replicated to the connecting ECC target systems. It's a 2 step process.

First do the changes in MDG on its own ECC and then replicate to other systems. So far it is working fine. But on a different note I guess SAP has plans to address this in MDG 8.0 or beyond releases. But it is there in their roadmap.

Thanks,
Subhronath

Hi Avinash,

I  am also facing the similar issue. I  have followed the document steps and created the custom wire

The communicator status is greyed out. Now even the standard UI  has the same issue

Can you please let me know how I can revert back the changes.

Thanks,

Nagendra

You need to copy the communicator. The name of the copy must match exactly your new FPM application configuration name.

Please open a new thread and refer to this one there.

To use a different workflow template with an existing CR type is OK. You don't need a new CR type if your process changed.

MDG Rule-Based workflow template will work for your requirements. First, you need to enhance the BRF+ application to add the fields you want to check. You can use this document to learn how to do that: http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-14881.

Then, you need to implement a decision table that routes the workflow step according to what fields were changed. To learn more about how to fill MDG Rule-Based workflow decision tables, you can use the above link and see this one: How to Fill MDG Rule-Based Workflow Decision Tables

Hi Experts,

We are implementing MDG-C with MDG7.0 SP05.

We are using EP Customer UI. We are facing following issue while creating customer via this UI

We are not able to see all the Account Group in UI. There are only 2 Account Groups appearing in drop down list i.e. KUNA abd DEBI. Why other account groups are not appearing in drop down list?

Please suggest

Thanks

Rahul Kulkarni

The application gets created the first time you call it. Check if you have authorization to do so (transaction SU53).
