Re: HOW TO HIGHLIGHT FIELDS IN SAP MDG

The error message linking is a feature of WebDynpro Floorplan Manager. Basically the UIBB (or the feeder class of a GUIBB) provide the message and field name(s) the message is connected to. The WebDynpro runtime then does the rest.

For the check BAdi, this facility is exposed in IF_EX_USMD_RULE_SERVICE~CHECK_ENTITY( ) via the structure of the return message table ET_MESSAGE:

  • The MSGxxx fields take the parameters of a standard T100 message (like message class, number, ...)
  • FIELDNAME contains the name of the field to highlight
  • The mapping should then be done by the MDG framework, mapping Entity (IV_ENTITY) + FIELDNAME to the UIBB(s) where the field is visible

Only problem is it does not work, at least not in my tests with MDG-Mv7SP03.

If you modify your system like this, please bear in mind that any data inconsistencies (e.g. missing MBEW-MLAST and others) will not be covered by the complimentary SAP support and might lead to inconsistencies in transactional data (e.g. purchase orders). These checks were introduced with a reason, removing them is at your own risk.

Hi Experts,

Basic material field is greyed out for some material type and  for some Material Type I am able to give the input text.

In Material Master Data, when creating the Material in Change request, the Field " Basic Material (MARA - WKRST) is able to enter the text and for few material types I am unable to give the text which is greyed out.

Could you pls help us to resolve this issue?

Manu, You may want to consider the new SAP MDG for EAM product from which to develop a master data framework and process to support asset information health. Specifically to mobile applications, field based maintenance staff need perfect, pristine instructions and master data plays a key role in ensuring that there is a place for everything and everything in its place'.

Just a quick update to close the thread...

The checkboxes were the issue. By default the expected values are 1 and 0 for checked and unchecked. In the form Layout when you specify the On Value and Off Value in the Binding tab for the Object (the checkbox), the values should be set to X and blank as in the screenshot below. That solves the issue:

Thanks Sanjay

We did the same settings but still the issue was the same. After going through the entire config, I found that the workflow number given in the CR type was different than that of the workflow mention in the config document.

As per std MDG ERP customer BC set, the CR type delivered -

CUSTL1 - WS54300004 - this is the workflow assigned. Changed it to WS54300003 and its working perfectly now...

Wonder why this workflow temp is assigned to the std CT type....

Closing the thread as the issue is resolved by changing the workflow template.

Resolution -

I found that the workflow number given in the CR type was different than that of the workflow mention in the config document.

CUSTL1 - WS54300004

CUSTL1P2 - WS54400001

( As per std MDG ERP customer BC set, the CR type delivered)'

As per the config document -

If you use the change request types delivered with MDG-C, the following workflow steps are delivered:

WS54300003. Step00–03

WS46000023: Step00–05

WS46000027: Step00–04

WS60800095: Step00–05

I changed the assignment to WS54300003 and now its working fine.

Hello Sanjay

You have to upload the assignment of profit center to company separately. There is a upload method you can use. Once you do it, it remains as it is. No need to change any config.

Multiple Change Requests involving Multiple Entity

$

Hi Experts,

We have a requirement to automate the creation of Supplier Change Request. Data will be received from another System via Proxy, and this data will be used to create multiple Change Requests at a time.

The Supplier model has been customized, and involves several entity types. The highest level entity is BP_HEADER, and other entity types are grouped under this entity.

The issue we are facing is that, if we use the Governance API IF_USMD_GOV_API, then we are able to create multiple Change Requests, however, it does not allow us to include multiple Entity into the Change Request. If we use the Convenience API, we can add multiple Entity to the Change Request, but we are not able to create multiple Change Request.

Are we missing something? Any help or pointers are appreciated.

Regards,

Swagata.

Hi Madhu

This is becasuse for Services it is general assumption that there is no basic material so as per SAP for DIEN (In your case it is YIEN) it is display only in field selection group 14. Please confirm in OMSR as suggested by Shankar. MDG always use bach end configuration and screen layout from ECC only

Hi Shankar,

Thanks for your reply,

I have checked OMSR Settings and Material type which we are using customized and not maintained in OMSR settings in the "field reference" Under field selection.

Is there any Settings/configuration should check.

Hi,

Partner Bank Type is present in ECC but not in MDG data model.

Please ensure the below is happening.

1. BVTYPE  is present in the structure BSS_BPIL_BANK_ACCOUNT.

2. Generate the below structures once BVTYPE has been added in BP_BKDTL and data model activated.

Capture.PNG

3. Also if required check the field is getting properly mapped under the SMT mapping section

MDG_BS_BP_MAP_2STA and BP_BP_BKDTL_2API. In the process you ahve to ensure that the field needs to be present in the below structures

BUS_EI_BUPA_BANKDETAIL and MDG_BS_BP_BP_BKDTL for  MDG_BS_BP_MAP_2STA mapping step

BUS_EI_STRUC_BANKDETAIL, MDG_BS_BP_BP_BKDTL for BUS_EI_STRUC_BANKDETAIL mapping step

BUS_EI_STRUC_BANKDETAIL_X, MDG_BS_BP_BP_BKDTL_X for BUS_EI_STRUC_BANKDETAIL_X mapping step

Hope it will be resolved soon. Good luck!

Thanks,
Subhronath
