Hi
I know that we can import hierarchy from MDG Client by executing report KBAS_MDGF_SET_DOWNLOAD them import these through file upload method. Before this activity all ]controlling objects must be imported into MDG Hub.My it seems that assignment of CCTRH to CCTRG to CCTR is not done automatically in MDG Hub same as MDG Client.
Hi
I need one information
How data replication happens for FRS and Company objects as these are custmizing objects? Is Transport created automatically in MDG Client for these objects as they are stored in T* tables.
Hello Sanjay
For FRS - You have to use the SOA services. The data gets replicated once you set up the same hierarchy in MDG.
For company - I used upload method to load the company data in MDG instead of governing it from MDG. Better create it in ECC and then load it in MDG.
Kiran
1. The assignment is not automatically done in MDG. You need to load the files. Once you run the KBAS program, it generates 3 files and you have to load it sequentially. The last file is your assignment file.
2. You can create same std hierarchy in MDG also using collective processing.
3. Yes. You can do it but normally the CCTR is assigned under group. If you don't assign it will be part of main hierarchy node.
4. Create CCRT and then assign it under the group in the same CR. It gets replicated properly.
Kiran
Hi Kiran
a> CCTR creation in single processing.
b> Replicate it in MDG Client
c> Create Blank CR in MDG Hub
d> Assign existing CCTR to Existing CCTRG under processing multiple objects using blank CR created in step c.
e>Replicate this assignment
Also can we replicate CCTR using IDOC and assignment to hierarchy by SOA as I want tdo not delete existing hierarchy structure in ECC?
As per you Hierarchy assignment with IDOC first deletes Hierarchy structure in ECC and creates new one while it done through SOA it updates only
Hi Kiran
Does it automatically create transports in both as it is client requirement?
Yes. You can make the settings accordingly. But the best option is to replicate it in MDG Production/ QA / Dev same time...in that case no need to have transport.
Kiran
1. You can create and replicate standard hierarchy from MDG
2. There is no transport request generated for hierarchy. You have to maintain it in production only
3. You can assign CCTR to CCTRG through collective processing in one CR itself. Create a blank CR and then create CCTR first. Then assign it under CCTRG. Once you replicate it, CCTR is assigned first under main node (like unassigned) and then after some time the group assignment is done. It takes some time - depending upon how big the hierarchy is.
4. You can use IDOC but as I said, IDOC will delete entire hierarchy in ECC and replace it by MDG hierarchy. Test this in sandbox and check the change log to get better idea.
5. SOA update only delta changes but the time taken by SOA and IDOC is same.

Hi ,
I am new to the SAP MDG. I wanted to define my own Data element in MDG and want to Assign it to Custom Entity.
Please share your guidance to make it possible.
Thanks,
Mukesh
Mukesh,
You can create them in SE11 and call it back during the entity creation, under data element.
Any ideas how to start debugging this issue? That will help as well...
Thanks,
Boris
OK, I debugged it and it turns out that ADS returns an error when the Web service is called for the Staging data.
Here is the response message from ADS:
Processing exception during a "Render" operation.#Request start time: Fri Apr 10 19:32:37 GMT 2015#com.adobe.ProcessingException: com.adobe.ProcessingException: 29216 : Invalid value: 'X' for 'integer' property##Exception Stack Trace:#com.adobe.Processing
Any ideas what might be causing that and why it works for the Active data?
Thanks,
Boris
Hi Sanjay,
I am sorry, this is not related to the post. I didnot know how to message you personally. I am a ECC functional consultant. What will be the path to transform to a MDG consultant..ram.sdsap2005@gmail.com
Hi Kiran
It sounds som e clarity now opens in my mind.
Hi Shankar,
I am getting this same error and not able to create CR with Valuation data.
Valuation Area is same as Plant.
We found that MDG method BWKEY_CHECK_MATERIAL_LEDGER checking T001k table for field MLBWA (Material ledger activated in valuation area) and throwing this error.
Kindly let me know solution for this.
Thanks,
Dharamveer
Hi Tamil
MDG is basically for Master data onjects and SRM is mainly for transactional data. So it is possible to use supplier's catlog in SRM for transaction purpose only for shopping cart. In MDG as we are creating change request for Create Master Data (Own Master Data) SAP does not support any OCI for this to import Supplier's catlog
Hi Mukesh
If you are using stanalone deployment option then please import new data element into target ECC system also.
