Thanks for your quick reply.

 

My actual requirement is I have created a custom UIBB with one field. For this to be displayed or disbaled, i have to relay on company code validation. i.e. If company code exists in one table.. then my custom uibb should be displayed. otherwise i have to hide the custom uibb.

 

IF the company code is valid, then i have to dispaly the custom uibb which contains a field. That field should be enabled with the drop down values.

 

Can I achieve these functionality using the inputs given ?

UIBB not visible in FPM configuration.

Hi Guys,

 

We are trying to create a FPM OIF component using USMD_ENTITY_VALUE2 and can easily create a variant for the configuration. We even created a UIBB for our custom data model that has two type 4 entities that are governed using a single type 1 entity. The feeder class used is CL_USMD_ENTITY _VALUE2_Proxy. We have assigned the UI configuration a change request type and a simple workflow WS75700040.

 

But when we test this configuration the initial screen for the change request appears and we can create a change request but on the following page we cannot see the UIBB  wiith the fields defined in the OIF component.

 

Is there a problem with the feeder class which we are using or is it something else we are missing???

Yes, Two entities are BP_COMPNY (Company Code) and  BP_BKDTL (Bank Detail).

 

VALIDATION: For a selected 'Payment Method' on UI a check should be made if 'Bank Number' is filled or not. In case Bank Number is missing then an error message must appear asking for bank detail.



NOTE:


'Payment method' belongs to BP_COMPNY


and


'Bank number' belongs to BP_BKDTL



Also note that display of Error Message on UI is must in case bank details are not filled.



Please share your thoughts/solution for this.

Error in DB search

I am trying to add some attributes in DB search attribute in search criteria for BP, I am able to add those additional attribute but unable to search based on newly added attribute in search criteria. I am getting below error.

You can't enforce this in BRF+ for sure. The cross-entity BAdI will only display warning messages. There are a few ways to do this however:

 

- Enhance the check method of the access class to enforce such a check.

- Build an enrichment spot to enforce this validation (see this document: How to Create an Enrichment Spot with User Interaction in Master Data Governance).

- Display an information message reminding the user to enter bank details upon selected the desired payment method.

- Have the master data specialist role enforce this rule manually (the info message above could be useful to remind them to check).

SAP MDG Custom- Data Model Issue

Hello Experts,

 

I am trying to establish a custom data model for cost center and controlling area, and I have created one type 1 entitytype and assign some attributes in it as key fields those are coming correctly in UI,

 

but there is one entry for cost center If I am giving it in attribute it is showing me the below error :-

hence I have added that as type-3 entity and gave the referencing relationship to my type-1 and data model is activated correctly, but the problem is I am not able to see my cost center field in my UI.

 

Could anyone please provide any inputs.

I am trying to replicate Cost Center manually via services. It is throwing the error message as

"Error during proxy call (Error Message: INTERNAL.NOT_FOUND Configuration parameter RUNTIME".

 

Any help?

UI not getting configured for a custom object through FPM

Hi Experts,

 

I have been trying to create a UI for a custom data model using FPM. I have used application USMD_ENTITY_VALUE2, OIF component and for UIBB form component. My data model has one 1 type entity and under that two type 4 entity and also many type 3 entities. I have used CL_USMD_ENTITY_VALUE2_PROXY as the feeder class and given contained entity type as one of type 4 entity type. When i test it the fields are not showing up, only the initial screen and header region shows up. When i explored more on the issue, i found the error as attached in the screen shot. It is showing error in GET_DEFINITION method. Do i need to define the feeder class from scratch for my data model ?

Impacts of flow migration from SAP BW 3.x to 7

Dear everybody,

 

I was migrating a flow from SAP BW 3.x to 7, it's composed of datasource, Infosource and an Infocube. I checked all the rules between the objects.

Everything was OK. After loading data using the two flows (to analyze the differencies), I  found that the number of lines that the new flow load (BW 7) is higher than the number of lines that the old flow load.

Do you have an explication please?

Hi Sanjay,

 

It seems that file upload option works with workfolw WS75700040 for Business partner tables but it doesn't work with workflow WS72100006.  Not sure why as I have all below roles assigned to me.  I basically don't get popup asking me to assign CR with workflow WS72100006 but instead get error message saying " NO Change Request is assigned to you".  Also, I would like to know is it best practice to use "File upload" process for material and Business partners?

MDG-F 7.0 Edition Usage

Hi everyone,

 

For those editions that were created and used in CR change request process, when they are finished with their mission, we would like to hide them from the screen. If they are appearing still, they can be selected by another User and used in any new change request. that is something we would like to prevent it from happening. Does anyone know how to make ever-used Edition disappear or hidden from the screen? Any idea?

MDG 7.0 Replicate by Model vs Replicate by Object

Hi everyone,

 

There are two different functions (Replicate by Model vs. Replicate by Object) available on MDG-F 7.0 and I would like to know the difference of these two functions. I would also like to hear things like do "Replicate by Model in Situation X" and Do "replication by Object" in Situation Y. Please share your idea of X and Y as far as you know.

MDG-F 7.0 Data Replication

Hello everyone,

 

Some existing ECC master data are loaded into MDG-F and they are in sync with the same data in ECC at certain point of time. So I don't want this population of data to be replicated over into ECC again. Would there be anything we can do to stop the replication fucntion to start for certain defined data population?

Basically the pop up must be in CR only when you are try to excute loaded file and workflow comes in picture.

Thanks for the reply Raghu.

 

I was aware of the BADI USMD_SEARCH, however I was hoping that adding search criteria for BP could be achieved without using a BADI/creating my own Handler class (suggested by Henk), but maybe this is not possible. I'll give the BADI a go.
