Thanks for your reply.
The suggested post talks about how to set change pointers to send Idocs on Customer data changes but my requirement is how to send - BP idoc using DRF on a Customer record creation/update in MDG-C.
example - A Create CR is activated - 1.ADRMAS & DEBMAS is triggered
2.BP Idoc is triggred.
Any thoughts?

Re: MDGF Edition Validity
Hello Rahul
Changing sort value won't affect your edition. These changes will be recorded as changes for the active edition. There are fields which are edition dependent like person responsible where you change the validity and rest of the fields are not time dependent. Any changes in non-edition dependent will be recorded and part of the active edition. Once you release the edition and create a new, latest change will appear in the next edition.

How to hide attributes in UI using FPM for Mass Change/File Upload for MDG-M(Material Master Governance)
I found that the below web dynpro component and component configurations for Mass Change/File Upload and also please let us know which component configurations is correct for Mass change/ File upload.
Mass Change:
Web Dynpro Component: FPM_OVP_COMPONENT
Component Configuration: MDG_BS_MAT_MC_MATERIAL_OVP
Web dynpro component: FPM_GAF_COMPONENT
Component Configuration: USMD_MASS_CHANGE_GAF
File Upload:

After upgrade to MDG 8.0 CR does not open
Dear All,
We are facing an issue after the upgrade to MDG 8.0. Whenever we try to open a change request related to a G/L the program open a GL search screen(attached) and we are not able to proceed any further.

BOM, Routing, Work Centres are not covered by MDG. Materials are covered.
You can build your own custom object model for these objects. But that is far more work.
If you also want to conduct Engineering Change Management then I would say use the PLM web UI Change Management functionality. To manage the changes.
What functionality of MDG do you specifically want to use for these objects?

with mdg 8.0 , It's still not covered? BOM, Routing, Work Centers governance.. Basically My understanding is that if we do not have those entities/attributes for these objects in MDG, we can't govern them. Am I right?
other one is...The object dependencies I am trying to address through MDG is around BoM's, Routing operations and that of materials ( For ex: for a particular value of characteristics A, Characteristics B to have value X). I have seen MDG earlier version such as 6.1 or 7.0 we can govern classifications but not sure about dependencies around for BoM's Routing and Work Centers etc.
Is it handled through MDG8.0?

BP Contact Person vs Customer Contact Person
Hi All,
We are facing an issue where we can’t find the Customer Master Contact Partner link to the customer BP in MDG(NWBC). In ERP the customer master contact partner details are stored in table KNVK and also linked to a customer(KUNNR) in the same table.
How do we go about linking the contact person to the customer BP in MDG? Do we have to create a contact person BP for every contact person and link it to the customer BP under relationships section of customer BP? If so, is there a way to create and link the contact person BP via a mass transaction?
When We are creating new BP (Customer UI) from MDG, Contact person section is generating same BP number series , for example if bp number is 3000123 , contact person number as 300124. Due to this, we are losing our BP numbers. How to assign new number range for BP contact persons?

MDG to ERP Using the Same Client
Hi experts,
I am facing issue with MDG FI.
When the G/L Account is completed and approved in NWBC MDGF, (the workflow is done without issues), but the data no were replicated from MDG tables in to ECC (fs00).
I did the the activities from this documents but, the issue continues.

If your replication model is properly configured, then you shouldn't face this issue even if its same client.
Please check DRFLOG if the GL is replicated or not. Check if there is any error or the log itself not generated?

Indeed still not covered with MDG 8.0, out of the box by SAP.
However there is a partner extension by Utopia which covers BOM and Work Centers. Which is based on SAP PM. It is called EAM (Enterprise Asset Management) Extension.
As said before there is the option of custom model. Then you have to build/config the entities and attributes your self. But more important you also have to build the rules.
Object dependencies are not covered by SAP. As you mention for material you can maintain classification. But no object dependencies. For sure not for BOM, routing and Work Centers as they are not covered at all.

I wanted to add a new dropdown list as email id for this address search for customer MDG screen.
I am checking that this search already had a code for email id in the class "CL_MDG_BS_ADR_SEARCH" and it is coming from the webdynpro component "WD_SELECT_OPTIONS_20" .
I am not getting from where these fields are flowing into this dropdown list and how it is getting defaulted.
Can anyone please help in with some inputs where i can search or configure it in the system so i can activate the Email id search for the same.
