Hi Ajay,

 

Based on your question, I assume you are already done below config

 

the field is made mandatory in data model config and you have checked mandatory checkbox on that UI OVP config page.

 

Those are the steps even I did and it works for me as we are just making a field as mandatory with asterisk and when I run the application and if I do not enter I get an "Please enter the field" error message..! However this is on flex UI field so are you referring to a flex UI field? or the is the field comes from an ECC MM tables ? If it's an ECC field I would check on ECC field properties.

Hi Ajay,

 

Mandatory fields in MDG-MM are determined by the field selection group in ECC.

please maintain configuration in tcode OMS9 to make fields mandatory with (*).

Hello Zubin

 

One more way out to find the CR data after withdrawal - Open the CR and then go to Related services - Change Document. In Display - select Attribute changes. You will able to view entire data.

 

Click on print preview to view entire data in PDF.

we wanted to make material group as mandatory with(*),

 

we are able to get error message with MDGIMG config but not the *mark,

Hi Eva,

 

Activate the change pointer in SRM. Whenever Vendor created or changed in SRM,passed through IDoc to MDG system(ERP tables).

 

Now you can open the existing vendor through CR(based on CR type),then you can do the changes in vendor and submit for approval.But you can not open the Vendor for creation approval. After the final approval,you can replicate the vendor to ECC system.

Material Creation Issue...

Hello Experts,

 

    While I am creating material in NWBC, suddenly I got an error i.e, "ERROR: Inconsistency between the DDIC types MDG_BS_MAT_T_MARA and MDG_BS_MAT_S_MARA. (termination: RABAX_STATE)". This system, I am using quite sometime now. But got this error 1st time. Can you advise me what I should check or do to fix it?

Hi Aditya

 

It means there is inconsistency between your source MDG structure and Target ECC structure. Try to gt it by opening it in SE11 and you can renerate structures again in MDGIMG

Also guide for with holding tax code auto derived for vendor account group and company code.

Hi Ponraj,

 

As you mentioned all these fields are input field in UI. Still showing as read only fields in UI.

 

Could you check the governance scope for these fields.

Process modelling->Define Governance Scope.

 

Set Yes for Governed for entity.

Hello Sanjay

 

I think we can do it without PI same like you replicate the CC / PC hierarchy using SOA. But if you use file replication, that is the best way of replication for non-SAP systems. I found it easy and effective compare to ALE and SOA.

Are you sure we can do data replication without PI in non SAP legacy systems?

Hi Nitesh,

 

You can achieve this with the help of BADI provided by SAP MDG framework

MDGIMG->General Settings->Data Quality & Search->BADI->BADI: Validations & Derivations

 

Create your own Enhancement Implementation with the appropriate filter of Entity type in which you want to perform the Auto-derivation.

Use the method DERIVE_ENTITY for your auto-derivation logic.

 

With the help of above steps, you will be able to derive any fields of the existing entities.

 

Note: It will be good if you use singelton class if the derivation is cross-entity derivation.
