Use entity search option for changing the data. Go to entity search - find out the account which you want to change and then click on change button to change the record.
Create a blank CR for that which can be used when you change the record. Remove the PDF based config id and assign standard mdg config id. This will work for you.
Regarding you second question - NO. You have to use manual replication - part of distribution monitor.
If its manual replication, you have to release the edition first. Once the edition is released then you can go to distribution monitor - manual replication - select the system where you want to replicate the data and then select the edition. You will see the edition if its released. Select that edition / entity type and click on replicate to replicate the data. You can schedule jobs here too.
