I am not deploying any Standalone configuration.

I have simply created One Custom data model suppose Employee under that i have created one Entity type - Emp_reference  and while creating this i want to assign my own Data element like EMPREF.

So before assigning EMPREF into Emp_reference  i have required to create EMPREF somewhere in ECC table's or internally . so that i could call it .exactly what steps and Process i have to follow.
