Yes, you can switch the number assignment for a short period. Remember, this whole temporary conversion does not need to do anything with MDG functionality. You can consider it a simple vendor record transfer that can be triggered from the source system by sending the CREMAS and ADRMAS IDOC's to the target system (being MDG in this case). For the BP, there are a whole bunch of BP IDOC's that I don't remember. I think they all start with BUPA.
